Zulu P
Music Residency
Zulu P is a rap group hailing from all corners of New York City. They began working on their highly eclectic and lively sound out of a day center in SoHo in 2008 and have since released mixtapes on Terrible Records and Astro Nautico. Currently comprised of members T-Rock, Sweetness Andreina, Lil E.B., and Major, Zulu P fosters an ever-changing sound characterized by influences of free jazz, old-school hip hop, and gospel over dizzying instrumentals by producers such as Diamond Terrifier, Max Alper, Twin Shadow, and Blood Orange. Zulu P is the force behind D-Lo Radio, the weekly broadcast on 8Ball Radio inviting guests to create otherwise unlikely improvised musical collaborations live on air.
Zulu P has been featured in VICE, CNN, Impose Magazine, Elite Daily, and The Huffington Post, and has performed on The Chris Gethard Show in addition to venues such as the Wythe Hotel, Baby’s All Right, and Ace Hotel. They are currently working on their next record out of Pioneer Works.
