Tommy Kha

Tommy Kha (b. Memphis, TN) is a photographer currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Kha holds an MFA in Photography from Yale University.

In 2023, Aperture published his first monograph Half, Full, Quarter, following his solo shows Má at Higher Pictures and Ghost Bites, curated by Dawn Chan, at Baxter St at CCNY. Má, an exhibition showing the ongoing, decade-long collaboration between the artist and his mother; In addition, he has exhibited at Blue Sky Gallery, Paris Photo’s Curiosa, the Hyères Festival, SFMoMA, George Eastman House, High Museum of Art, and Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

He is a past recipient of the Hayes Prize, Next Step Award, Foam Talent, and NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow in Photography and a former resident at Kinosaito, Light Work, Camera Club of New York, and the International Studio and Curatorial Program. His first museum show will open at Addison Gallery of American art in Andover, MA. He currently teaches at Yale University.
